The Community Schoolhouse Summer Camp Program provides a day camp experience for children in the community who present social, emotional and behavioral challenges that make it difficult for them to attend more traditional camp programs.
We offer the children a variety of activities that include hiking, swimming, arts and crafts, canoeing, cookouts and a variety of fieldtrips. Educational components are also built into each day.
The camp is run by the Community Schoolhouse teaching staff. There is always at least a one to three ratio of staff to campers. The camp runs for five weeks, five days a week, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
