Clinical Services Director

Nayeli Hernandez, Psy.D.

Nayeli came to Community House as Clinical Services Director in October 2021. She holds a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Carlos Albizu University, Puerto Rico. With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field (5 of them in Vermont), Nayeli has worked in a variety of settings and roles: program developement, inpatient psychiatric care, partial hospitalization, various community centers, elementary schools, and outpatient clinics.

Nayeli's commitment to trauma-informed care approaches and her clinical skills in mindfulness, group therapy, individual therapy, and parent training have been a welcomed addition to our team.

Nayeli meets weekly with each one of our kids, facilitates a skills-based group called "Getting Better at Feeling", and serves as liaison between our children, their families, and all the different agencies providing services to the children. She also provides clinical expertise and administrative oversight of both our stabilization program, and the milieu at Community House.

In her free time, Nayeli enjoys kayaking, hiking, and finding new places to explore.

Antioch Psychological Services

We contract with Antioch Psychological Services to complete psychological assessments for our residents.
