Alison has been employed within the Community House program since 2004, after completing her Bachelors in Social Work at Castleton State College. She began as a per diem employee then moved to team leader in the residential program. After one year as the teaching assistant in the residential classroom, Alison joined the day school as the teaching assistant in the middle school classroom.
In 2013, Alison became the administrative assistant. Upon completion of her Special Education Certification from Granite State College in 2020, Alison became the Special Education Coordinator. She completed her Masters in Leadership and Instruction through Granite State College in 2022.
Dana Acquaviva, LICSW
Dana joined the Community Schoolhouse team at the start of the 21-22 school year as the school social worker. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Vermont and a Master of Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University. She has a decade of combined experience in outpatient mental health clinics and schools. She has been licensed in the state of Vermont as a clinical social worker since 2017. Dana specializes in working with children who have experienced developmental trauma. She knows that all children desire to do well and is committed to supporting them in acquiring the tools they need to achieve success and well-being. Dana enjoys spending time with her family, taking her two dogs for hikes in the woods, cooking and baking.
